Sometimes Dog Rescue Carcassonne hear about a dog who needs rehomed but can stay in his exiting home until we find him a forever family. For cases like this we have a Home to Home service. This is much kinder on the dog as he never needs to come into rescue and is much easier for the family surrendering the dog as they get to meet and choose the dogs new family. Of course all of the dogs must still be identified, vaccinated and sterilised.
Below are Idifiex and Leo…both dogs are waiting for a home through our ’Home to Home’ scheme.
Idefix
Idefix is a very cute, pedigree, 4 year old male Parsons Russel Terrier.(short haired) He has lived with his present family since 9 or 10 weeks old.
As Idefix has matured he has started to be a bit of a bossy boots with his two doggy sisters and so his mum thinks that for everyone’s sanity he would be better off as an only dog.
This little boy may be bossy ( he’s a terrier after all) but has never ever shown any human aggression. He’s very friendly and is even great with young children.
Off leash he is fine meeting other dogs and has good recall. On leash he sometimes gives a growl but responds very well to NO!
He will chase cats if off leash but will walk calmly past them on leash.
He is ready to travel, he has a passport and is of course castrated.
There is no adoption fee for the right family!

Leo
Leo is a 2 year old German Shorthaired Pointer who really needs a new home. Pippa saved him from an elderly neighbour but always knew that this was a short-term solution as they are returning to Australia.
Since arriving at Pippa’s he has been microchipped, vaccinated and castrated. He is in good health and is a very sociable boy . He is very affectionate with humans and great with both dogs and cats.
Leo will need an active home where he can have lots of exercise and a bit of training too.
There is no adoption fee for Leo!
