Last week we have lots of dogs leave for pastures new in both the UK in Belgium. This is a chance of a lifetime for these dogs who have waited far too long for their forever families here. Sometimes there is no rhythm or reason as to which dogs are adopted and which are passed over. We do know that small to medium females are adopted very quickly and that large males tend to wait forever. Two of the females who left, Pocahontas and Dali had been with us a long, long time. Why we don’t really know but it was fantastic to see them leave and know that they will soon be in a forever family rather than a concrete kennel. To enable us to send these dogs to the associations we must fund raise, one to pay the SPA their adoption fee and two to pay the animal transporter to take them there. Without everyone’s support we could do that and if you would like to donate to help another dog leave then our paypal account is website@dogrescuecarcassonne.co.uk.

Prosper

Poor Prosper has to be one of the most unlucky dogs I have known. He has been returned from adoption 3 times. I can’t say that he wasn’t ever at fault but that he has never been taught or been given a chance in an active, training minded family. We are sure that he is part collie and so he is active, intelligent and quick to learn. He has learnt that is great fun to chase after cars, bikes, passer-by’s when in the garden and he now needs to learn that even better things happen if he ignores them. Could you be the only to give this very affectionate boy a chance? He has lots and lots to offer the right family!
