Latest news

Last week was a slow week with a few arrivals and a few adoptions. We were hoping that once the holidays were over the arrivals would slow down and the adoptions would pick up but that doesn’t seem to be happening. The best news of the week was without doubt the adoption of Trudie, a nine year old Bruno de Jura cross who had been in foster with Annette and Miles since summer. All older doggy adoptions are to be celebrated and now Trudie can begin the retirement she deserves with her lovely forever family.  Thank you so much to Annette and Miles for doing such a great job, it’s never easy for a foster family to say goodbye even although you prepare yourself emotionally for doing so.

Firmin

Firmin arrived at the SPA at the end of June and I really can’t believe that he hasn’t been adopted. He’s a tall boy and maybe people are worried about him being too strong but this boy really is a gentle giant and has great lead skills. We don’t know much about his background as he arrived as a stray but wherever he has been he has been loved as he is an affectionate, happy and confident boy. At 8 years old he’s not a youngster and it would be great to see him out of kennels before it gets cold. If you have a space by your fire then email website@dogrescuecarcassonne.co.uk or call Moira on 0468247097 to discuss.
