Last week we felt very lucky as we had two days that were only 29 degrees and with enough wind that we could safely walk the dogs! In summertime days like that really are a gift in the South of France and so we really made the most of it, With 5 volunteers on Thursday we managed to walk 21 dogs!!!!!! What’s more lots more got to play in the park. We have had a few new arrivals and a few adoptions but what is really disappointing is that we have had two dogs returned. Both had minor issues which could easily have been worked through had they asked for advice. If you have adopted from us and are experiencing any behavioural issues please don’t suffer in silence. WE have an English speaking doggy trainer and a behaviourist who can give you advice, just lift up the phone and call us anytime!
Dog of the Week: Cooky
I really think that this weeks dog will appeal to ‘Les Anglais’! Cooky is a one year old Bearded Collie cross who was adopted from us as a pup. He had a great life with his owner who loved this boy to bits! Sometimes life really is unfair and this lovely lady had to bring him back to us last week as she is terminally ill. What a brave lady, she was breaking her heart but she knew that he needed to somewhere safe where he had the chance of finding a forever family. She did the right thing!
So we promised her that only the best would do for this boy and that’s what I am looking for. A loving family who will love care for this wonderful boy. Hes an active, affectionate biy and will need an active, training minded family. He gets on with everyone…he really is a delight.
Let’s do his former owner proud and find him the happiest of homes….he really does deserve it!
If you’d like to meet him you can email us or call 0468247097 (English speaking) for more details.
